Ilfracombe has many eye-catching sights and attractions to see, such as the natural surroundings of the coastline, comprising of spectacular cliffs with secret coves and golden ‘blue flag beaches’ on one side, with a hinterland of wild moorland sparkling river valleys and lush rolling hills on the other.

The town offers various attractions to tourists such as the Water Mouth Castle, Maritime Museum, Harbour with Sea Cruises, Resorted Water Mill and Pottery, Golf Course, Dovetails Gallery, Land Mark Theatre and Entertainment Complex, Chambercombe Haunted Manor, Shingle Beaches, Scenic Walking Trails, Horse Riding and Pony Trekking Center, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Bird Sanctuary, Steam Train, Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park.

Hotel guests have the option, on leaving the Crescent House Hotel, of heading in one direction to the town centre and in the other to the harbour. The recently constructed landmark theatre is just 250m in distance from the hotel.

New Severnlink Ferry
|

A regular crossing will begin March/April 2010, Swansea Ilfracombe Route, appromiately 50 minutes in duration. this will provide the first twice daily link between south Wales and North Devon The ferry – a 40 metre, 35 knot Kvaerner ‘FlyingCat’ passenger catamaran, capable of carrying 360 passengers – Its interior refit which will include comfortable seating, refreshment facilities, provision for disabled travellers and plenty of storage space to carry your shopping, bikes and luggage! This will be the first fast ferry to service the Bristol Channel.
