About this deal

Combat Patrol Tyranids will be available on sale on Saturday, September 9. These are the 32 models in Combat Patrol Tyranids: The box also contains three Tyranid Warriors, perfect for helping the Hive Tyrant direct your Termagants toward their prey. Strong, swift, and among the Hive Mind’s most adaptable breeds – no invasion would be complete without these intelligent bioforms to anchor the swarm.

Tyranids army have a look and feel completely different to anything else on the battlefield. You’ll find no metal armor here, no sci-fi guns or tanks (unless you count the related Genestealer Cults armies, but that’s a different matter for a different day). Tyranids are made of flesh and bone, amd Tyranid paint schemes highlight this alienbiology. All Monsters in the Crusher Stampede Detachment get +1 to hitonce their unit is below Starting Strength: if they start as a unit with one model, that means as soon as they’ve taken a wound. Once below half strength (ie, they’ve lost half their wounds), they get +1 to wound as well. To add to this boxed set, we’re going to add a few extra units that’ll give you something different to paint and expand your synapse. These inhuman monsters are uniquely equipped to sap enemy morale, as the powerful influence of the Hive Mind shrouds the battlefield in a pall of pure terror known as the Shadow in the Warp. This ability disrupts your opponent’s battle plans, and reflects just how horrifying it would be to stand up to hordes of hungry aliens. The new 40k Tyranids Combat Patrol box has been released, and here is the contents and value breakdown for Warhammer 40k!

Tyranid Hive Fleets

On top of that, you’ll get the core rules for Warhammer 40,000, and the rules – as well as specially designed missions – for the new Combat Patrol game format. You’ll also find a full complement of Crusade rules to get your narrative campaigns up and running ahead of Codex releases, and a full Crusade expansion that delves into the story of the Fourth Tyrannic War through a series of linked campaign games. Neurolictors are a new sub-species of Lictor only starting to appear across the galaxy. This bioform trades raw close combat prowess for insidious mental abilities and projects a psychic miasma that overcomes the enemy and shatters their discipline. Genestealers

Leading the force into battle is mighty Hive Tyrant.** This terrifying leader-beast is a literal combat monster, who can use insidious telepathic abilities to support the CORE units in your army – such as the Tyranid Warriors and Termagants that accompany it in the box. Clearly, all part of the Hive Mind’s design…

If you’re looking for a few early ideas, the Tyranids of Hive Fleet Leviathan are a great place to start. Their distinctive purple chitinous plates and bone-coloured skin stands out beautifully on the battlefield, and is easy to get to grips with thanks to the dedicated Termagants + Paint Set . However, it’s not as worthwhile if you have plenty of those little guys hanging around. As we said, this is designed for new players, and it gets them a ton of minis for not too much money. This is another way GW is balancing the Combat Patrols with the Secondary Objective options. These options should give enough tactical variation that you’ll be able to change things up when you’re getting the hang of the Combat Patrols. Additionally, these options might be better suited verse particular Combat Patrols compared to others. That’s going to take some experimenting to figure out though. Everything you need to play Combat Patrol – apart from the miniatures – will be available for free online when the new edition launches. Introducing a friend to the world of Warhammer 40,000 with the help of your collection has never been easier. You could even set up your own Combat Patrol event, or why not go wide and collect one Combat Patrol from every faction?

There’s even ways for units to take on Monsters or Vehicles that are in other Combat Patrols with the clever use of Stratagems: The new Tyranid Combat Patrol will be out soon, but the Aeldari, Grey Knights, and Thousand Sons boxes are coming even sooner. We’ll be taking a look at some of the rules from the Tyranid codex as we build up to its release – sign up for our newsletter to get all of the updates, and grab a Tyranids mug to wash down all the biomass you’ll be devouring. So you’ve selected a Hive Fleet and played a few games using a basic army, now is the time to consider dedicating yourself to a larger build and buying accordingly. If you’ve read around on the internet there’s a few builds that are popular, so you might already have an idea of where you want to go. Here’s a rundown of some specific builds and what you might want to consider purchasing to fill them out.

Planning Your Army

What do you think about the new 40k Tyranids Combat Patrol box contents and value breakdown for Warhammer 40k?

You also can’t go wrong by adding Gaunts to your swarm – Termagants use their terrifying bio-weapons to spit acid, needles, and carnivorous insect-like living ammunition over enemies from afar, while Hormagaunts bound up the field in great, loping strides. Both units also come with a Ripper Swarm in the box. For the Tyranids, as an example, you can opt for the Psychostatic Veil for your Tyranid Prime’s survivability or you can opt for the Secretion Goad that will allow your Prime to give off an additional point of AP on a target unit. Both are thematic and can lead to very different playstyles. Leviathan is just the beginning for the new edition of Warhammer 40,000. There’ll be a brisk pace of releases following hot on the heals of the launch set. Note: Every faction is going to receive a new 9th Edition codex eventually, so do be mindful that if you’re buying in with 8th Edition books you will find them obsolete within the coming year or two.Nooks and crannies in alien fleshwork great with Contrast paints. Similarly, their bone carapaces work well with dry brushing techniques, helping you make the model’s edges pop while maintaining their unique organic feel. Depicted at their most optimistic moment, the Fellowship of the Ring are assembled once again in this set of nine models. Field them as a single force and you can take on an entire army, using each member’s unique skills to fight off hordes of Evil-doers. In addition, most advertising networks offer you a way to opt out of targeted advertising. The multitudinous foot soldiers of the Tyranid swarm get some love, as the revitalised Termagants first seen in the Leviathan boxed set get a bonus sprue of special weapons. The box also includes a single Ripper Swarm. Hormagaunts
