About this deal

Push the plastic insert into your yogurt maker as far as it can go. Next, pour boiling water up to the top of the plastic insert. Place your jar into the yogurt maker so it sits on top of the plastic insert, then put the lid on your yogurt maker. Yes, all our jars are safe to use in the dishwasher. They’re also fine in the freezer, which is a great way to keep smaller amounts of yogurt cool ‘til lunchtime. Can I wash my yogurt maker?

Mix & Fill – Half-fill the EasiYo Yoghurt Jar with water, add the contents of your sachet, shake well and then top it up to the fill line with more water. I know you said you’ve used different starters and different milks. The only other thoughts I have are, is your easiyo maker somehow not holding the heat? Or, is it too hot (where in Australia are you?) and the bacteria is dying off? I know a friend of mine who lived in Alice Springs said she used to only make it at night.Welcome to our collection of EasiYo Yoghurt Makers! Whether you're a yogurt aficionado or just starting out, these easy-to-use yogurt makers are the perfect addition to your kitchen.

You mention flavouring with vanilla or lemon essence (which sound yum!) so I was wondering if anyone can recommend brands for these – I have a good quality vanilla extract in my cupboard which I’ll try next batch with some added sugar, but have never used a lemon extract/essence. Yes, our newer design jars can be used in our older style yogurt makers. If you need some extra jars, you can buy them online here. Can I use a glass jar in the EasiYo Maker? There are different ways of flavouring your yoghurt, which can be done either before setting or afterwards, when serving. One common method is to stir in some jam or some fresh fruit when serving. Unfortunately, half of my family won’t eat yoghurt this way, having gotten too use to the store bought extra sweet stuff. So for them, I sweeten before setting. The two preferred flavours I’ve made this way are lemon (which I love) and vanilla. Fresh yoghurt has never been so popular - it tastes fantastic and helps keep us healthy - and that's why EasiYo, all the way from New Zealand, has gathered pace in the 'make your own' stakes because it's so unbelievably easy. When adding berries or other fruit it is better to add it when serving, as the fruit will just sink to the bottom of the milk before the yoghurt sets (and could curdle your milk, depending on the fruit). In a fresh design and a smart shade of red, this version of EasiYo’s Yoghurt Maker is more compact than the previous model to fit better in your kitchen cupboard but will still produce the same amount of yummy yoghurt. Designed and made in New Zealand, this new model also features an easy-grip, recessed handle in the lid and non-slip feet whilst the redesigned shape of the 1kg jar means you can spoon every last bit of yoghurt out, making it easier to clean too. The insulation has also been improved to give even more consistent results. So simple and economical to use, it’s easy for you and your family to enjoy home-made, great-tasting yoghurt with EasiYo. Includes Yoghurt Jar. Our collection features a range of yogurt makers to suit your needs and preferences. From the classic EasiYo Yoghurt Maker to the mini version, we've got you covered. And with a variety of flavours to choose from, including natural, strawberry, and Greek-style, you can enjoy your favourite yogurt anytime, anywhere. I haven’t read through all the comments, there are so many! So this may have been answered already. But for those who are wondering how to flavor without adding sugar, sweetened juices etc, this is what I do which my daughter and I love, and even my partner who isn’t a yogurt fan enjoys occasionally…

When mangos, peaches etc are in season, buy plenty when they are nice and ripe, remove the skin (for peaches etc drop in boiling water for about 40 seconds and the skin peels off easy) slice into thin pieces, lay then put on a tray and freeze overnight (at least 4hrs). The number of live cultures is at its highest on the first day – one serving of freshly-made EasiYo yogurt contains over one million live cultures. But the good news doesn’t stop there. We’ve tested our yogurt and even at the end of two weeks in your fridge, there are still millions of live cultures in every serving. How do the cultures stay viable in the sachets? Heat 1 litre of milk almost (but not quite) to boiling – look for the point when it is just slightly frothy on top but not yet foaming up (or use a milk thermometer if you have one). Organic milk is of course best, but not essential, and you can use anything from fat free milk to full cream (4%) milk. Heating the milk changes the protein to make it more conducive to making yoghurt with. It also kills off any bacteria that is growing in the milk and might compete with the yoghurt starter culture. But, if you are using raw milk, you could also heat it just to yoghurting temperature (approx 42C, and less than 50C). Which in an easiyo means you just put it in cold. Obviously, this is not pasteurizing the milk, which people are for and against from a health perspective. From a yoghurt perspective it should still work fine, but will likely be runnier than yoghurt made from pasteurized milk. No, this product is not recommended for people with dairy or lactose allergies or intolerance. While there are no dairy ingredients in the recipe, it’s made on the same production line as our dairy based products so it may contain traces of dairy. Can you make a version with just Coconut and not Soya? For delicious, perfect yogurt every time, our EasiYo yogurt sachets contain all the ingredients you need – simply add water. There’s no need to use a bought yogurt as a starter. Can I make EasiYo without the EasiYo Yogurt Maker? The cultures are freeze dried. This simply means that all the moisture is extracted so that the cultures can 'hibernate' until they’re reactivated with the addition of water and heat in your EasiYo Yogurt Maker.
